Being Irish I reserve the right to transform St Patrick’s Day into St Patrick’s Week (it’s what he would’ve wanted).
I spend an inordinate amount of time on the internet. Most of the time I’m hoovering up ideas like…well…a hoover and just occasionally this leads to some very tasty discoveries.
Long before man stumbled into his local co-op and blearily pushed a cart around brightly lit aisles deliberating over whether Crunchy Crackle Sparkle Nuts were better than Crunchy Crackle Sparkle Nuts with Added Glitter, there were farmers’ markets.
So this week I introduced some leftover avocado to some leftover blue cheese. The result? A truly disgusting fusion of horror.
Nah, only kidding.
Not content with being the star of salads and every vegan’s go-to food, avocados have been making a bit of a splash on the dessert scene lately.
One of the many joys of working full-time (is it too early in the week for this level of sarcasm?!) is that Sundays invariably become Soup Sundays.
Catfish is ah-mazing. Especially when rolled in highly processed white flour, heavily doused in MSG-laden flavourings and suspended in a vat of boiling, rancid vegetable oil until encased in a thick, greasy batter.
